Creamy Pasta with Garlic Bread


Ingredients:

For the Creamy Pasta:

• 200g pasta (e.g., fettuccine or spaghetti)
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Garlic Bread:

• 1 baguette or Italian bread, sliced
• 3 tbsp butter, melted
• 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
• Fresh parsley, chopped
• Optional: shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add the pasta, and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Make the Creamy Sauce:
• In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
• Add the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
• Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes thick and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
• Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
3. Prepare the Garlic Bread:
• Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
• Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
• Brush the mixture over the sliced bread. For a cheesy garlic bread, sprinkle shredded mozzarella or Parmesan on top.
• Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is melted.
4. Serve:
• Plate the creamy pasta and garnish with fresh parsley.
• Serve with the garlic bread on the side.
